Oswald joined the Noble Foundation in June 2008 as an agricultural economist with the NF-1 team. While pursuing his master's degree, he worked as a research assistant at Kansas State University. Oswald's research included the 2002 farm bill, value-added producer grants, financial information and international agriculture. Oswald is interested in helping farmers, ranchers and natural resource stewards achieve their goals. His specific areas of interest include financial budgeting, commodity risk management and financial advice. Oswald was raised in northeast Kansas, where he worked on his family's farm. Their operation included cow-calf and a variety of crops such as corn, soybean, sunflower and wheat. Online publications include:
