Equipment currently in the Genomics Core:
Biomek FX from Beckman Coulter equipped with a 96 channel pipetting system. It is a fast sample processing system for sequencing, plasmid isolation, marker analysis and real time PCR.

Affymetrix GeneChip® Scanner 3000 7G System: The GeneChip® Instrument System is a fully integrated platform for conducting research using GeneChip® brand probe arrays. This system includes the GeneChip Scanner 3000 7G, AutoLoader, Fluidics Station 450, Hybridization Oven 640, and a powerful computer workstation with dual Xeon processors loaded with GeneChip® Operating software (GCOS).

Agilent Bioanalyzer 2100, Nanodrop-1000 and Nanodrop-8000: These instruments provide new generation of DNA and RNA quantification and checking system for small amount of RNA and DNA samples used in sequencing, real time and microarray analysis.

Typhoon Variable Mode Imager Trio from GE Healthcare provide convenient detection system for storage phosphor autoradiography, four-color, nonradioactive fluorescent labeling detection and chemiluminescence labeling.

Real Time PCR HT 7900 Sequence Detection System from Applied Biosystem is a high-throughput real-time PCR system with 384-well plate capability for gene expression analysis.

Two units of 96-capillary 3730 DNA Analyzer from Applied Biosystem provide sequencing service for the routine divisional and large EST sequencing. They also have been use for DNA fragment analysis applications such as microsatellites, AFLP, SNP analysis, mutation detection in addition to traditional DNA sequencing.

ABI 3100 Automated Capillary DNA Sequencer: 16-capillary electrophoresis instrument for automated DNA sequencing and DNA fragment analysis mainly used for SSR marker analysis and SSCP analysis.

ABI 7000 Sequence Detector: This is a 96-well format real time PCR system.

Five units of ABI GeneAmp® PCR System 9700 with five 96-well interchangeable heads and one interchangeable 384-well dual head for sequencing reaction set up.
