January 13-14 Groups from Forage genetics International and the US Dairy and Forage Research Center (Madison, WI) held the first of several planned collaborative meetings with Noble Plant Biology and Forage Biotechnology scientists to discuss the re-engineering of alfalfa for improved forage quality (Ardmore).
February 2-5 Steve Cox attended a "Radiation Safety Training" re-certification course, Las Vegas, NV.
February 2-7 Marilyn Roossinck was an invited speaker at the 8th International Congress of Plant Pathology, Christchurch, New Zealand.

March 15-17 Elison Blancaflor will present at the Southern Section of the American Society of Plant Biologists meeting, Denton, TX. He will also serve as one of the judges for the student poster competition during the meeting.
March 20-21 Oklahoma Plant Molecular Biology Symposium, Oklahoma State University, Stillwater. Many of the Plant Biology and FBG staff and postdocs attended and presented talks or posters.
