The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation has extended the sign-up deadline for the 2006 Grazing School to Friday, Oct. 20. The school will be held Tuesday, Oct. 24, to Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Noble Foundation's campus in Ardmore. The Grazing School is an intense, hands-on course in all aspects of grazing, including ecosystem processes, estimating forage production, grass mechanics and systems, forage flow and animal performance, said Shan Ingram, Education and Special Projects Manager in the Agricultural Division. A segment on drought management will also be included in this year's program. The Grazing School will offer Continuing Education Units (CEU) for Society for Range Management and American Forage and Grassland Council members. Lodging is available at the Ardmore Holiday Inn for $65 per night.
