Noble Opportunities: Employee Benefits and Perks

The annual summer family picnic is among the social activities hosted by the Foundation.

Postdoctoral fellows at the Noble Foundation receive a generous package of benefits and employee perks.

Health and Dental Insurance
The employee and any spouse and children are covered from the first day of employment with a generous health and dental plan. The Foundation pays the entire insurance premium. The plans feature low deductibles and out-of-pocket charges along with discounted physician office visits and prescriptions.

Life Insurance
Postdoctoral fellows receive a no-cost $150,000 life insurance package while employed at the Foundation. This policy is portable so that the employee can take it with them when they leave the Foundation by simply picking up the payments.

Competitive Salaries
The Noble Foundation, in accordance with the Foundation's written salary administration program, regularly evaluates compensation levels for our postdoctoral fellows. Noble offers salaries which are on par with similar research institutions. Competitive salaries, coupled with a lower cost of living in Ardmore, provide extra value for our scientific staff.

Travel and Symposia Support
The Foundation recognizes and supports the need of our researchers to interact with the international scientific community. Travel budgets are provided to attend and present at symposia.

Temporary Housing
When space is available, new postdoctoral fellows and their families are often provided housing for 1-2 weeks in on-campus apartments. This gives the new employee an opportunity to shop for a rental property in Ardmore. This service is available at no cost to the postdoc.

Defensive Driving Classes
On-campus, no-cost defensive driving classes are provided through the Foundation's Safety Department. Completion of the class may lead to discounts on automobile insurance. Staff volunteers will also assist new drivers in learning how to operate a vehicle.

Seminars and Training
The Plant Biology and Forage Improvement divisions sponsor on-campus seminar series with prominent invited guests. Scheduled presentations by Noble researchers also lead to an exchange of research ideas. Other training opportunities are offered by the Foundation's administrative staff. Classes have included time management, software training, health improvement, first aid, CPR, English as a second language and a variety of other topics.

Health, Fitness and Sports
The Noble Foundation has started an optional wellness program with access to a company gym, massages, free health screenings and educational seminars on nutrition and exercise. Foundation employees are eligible for discounted individual and family memberships to the Ardmore YMCA. The Foundation also participates in a corporate league in sports such as volleyball, bowling, golf and softball.

Activities and Facilities
The Foundation sponsors a family picnic each spring, a Christmas party and various other social mixers. In addition, employees may use the Noble Pavilion free of charge for family or other group gatherings. Fishing and other outdoor recreation opportunities are available to employees and their families on area Foundation farms.
