Amtrak train depot in downtown Ardmore

Oklahoma, like much of the United States, is highly dependent on transportation by automobile. Most employees find it necessary to have access to a car as most available housing is outside a comfortable walking distance from the Foundation campus. If you do not drive and wish to learn, the Foundation has volunteers who will help you. Commercial driving classes are also available in Ardmore.

Transportation to and from regional airports can be arranged through the Noble Foundation. The Human Resources department will make a driver available to postdoctoral candidates interviewing in Ardmore. Automobile rentals are also available at area commercial airports.

Ardmore has daily passenger rail service to Oklahoma City and Ft. Worth, Texas. Connections are available in both cities to other Amtrak destinations. Rail service to DFW airport is available from the Ft. Worth rail terminal.

Commercial air service is available from Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City and DFW Airport and Love Field in the Dallas area. All commercial airports are about a 100-mile (160 km) drive from the Noble campus.
